Ko mātou tēnei | This is Us We're looking for a passionate Business Data Steward to join our Digital, Data & Analytics tīma (team). You will be responsible for operationalising data governance and data management for a BNZ Division, supporting their business leaders to meet their data accountabilities, manage data risk and realise business value from data. This is a full time fixed term opportunity based in Auckland. This is a hybrid role with three days in the office and two days where you can work flexibly. What are the day to day tasks the person in this role will complete? Data Stewardship supports our strategic ambition to become the best bank by helping to: Ensure our customers, regulators and colleagues have confidence in our critical data. Embed Data Risk Management practices within business Divisions. Support the Enterprise in understanding our data through robust data management practices. Maintain legislative and regulatory compliance. What is the team culture and environment like? The culture in DD&A is built upon shared values and goals. The role will work with allocated BNZ divisions and act as the primary contact point where data is concerned. You will have the opportunity to become a SME, supporting and executing data risk management activities. What is your favourite thing about working for BNZ? Te Tāngata The People. Ideally 3- 5+ years’ experience working within a data governance field within a large and complex organisation, or previous experience with data e.g. data analysis, data quality, & reporting, data incident management. Knowledge of data management principles and concepts with an ability to interpret and communicate policy. Understanding of business processes, risk, and controls and how these interact with data management principles. Strong ability to influence, lead and motivate others. Outcome focused and able to deliver within tight deadlines. Degree in Information Technology, Law, or Information Management is desirable.
