Description

SmartResponse Media is a fast-growing ‘full service’ independent specialist TV advertising agency based in central London. We work with a diverse range of high-profile clients across the fashion, homewares, DIY, mobility, cosmetics, food and recycling categories.
We are seeking a new Business Development Account Director to join us in the immediate future to help manage, develop, and profitably grow, our diverse client base who employ our specialist TV media buying/planning and ‘script to screen’ TV advert production services.
You will also be required to generate and nurture new business leads and opportunities to assist with the ongoing growth of the company.

JOB SPECIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS

· To work with our in-house Account Managers to develop new business opportunities for our existing clients in terms of driving incremental TV production and media buying/planning.
· To attend client facing meetings on a regular basis and to arrange client hospitality throughout the year.
· To independently generate new business leads that will be converted via pitch process to TV advert commissions and media buying.
· To be paid basic salary and to also receive additional sales commission according to new client business landed via independent endeavours.
· An aptitude for creating sophisticated presentations and a keen eye for detail is important.
· A degree in Marketing, Media or Business Studies would be ideal.
· To assist with new business proposal design and pitch document development.
· This is a part time role, and you will be required to work in our Old Street office one day a week and to attend our Weekly Management Meeting.
· You will primarily report to our Managing Director, Pete Mills, but also Hannah Bennett (Commercial Director) and Jonathan Furzey (Creative Director).
Experience required:
· Demonstrable and proven ability of business development in marketing industries.
· Five years minimum experience working in a marketing commercial environment.
· Candidate with a strong academic background in marketing or business disciplines.
· An individual with an interest in both broadcast and digital media.
· A ‘Self Starter’ with an ambitious sales-oriented goal driven attitude - hard working, conscientious, good humoured and above all very organised.
· An aptitude for creating sophisticated presentations and a keen eye for detail is important.
· A degree in Marketing, Media or Business Studies would be ideal.
