THE OPPORTUNITY!

Ram Iron & Metal is looking for an Account Manager /Business Development Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for managing and growing our existing account portfolio within Ontario with the goal to achieve our sales objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION

Two plus (2+) years’ work experience in Business Development or Account Management. Metal recycling industry an asset.

  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Valid driver’s license and active insurance vehicle policy
  • B.A., preferably in Business or Finance is an asset

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English; read, write, comprehension
  • Critical thinking, analysis of facts, evidence and arguments in order to form a judgement
  • Ability to effectively problem solve, develop and implement solutions
  • Self-reliant and entrepreneurial, ability to complete assignments with minimal guidance
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Ability to make formal and informal presentations in front of small audiences
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and cross-functional environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within short timelines
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain outstanding business partnerships with existing and potential clients
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities via proactive outreach and relationship-building.
  • Continuous customer and supplier visits to achieve business goals
  • Apply subject expertise in evaluating business operations and processes
  • Identify new business opportunities through market analysis and competitor trends
  • Manage full sales cycle including monthly purchases, establishing customer relationships, managing expenses.
  • Account Administration: Generate monthly purchase orders, volume & revenue reports
  • Participate in weekly sales meeting to share market insights and prioritize actions
  • Participate and attend various industry and trade events
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management
