Description

A job opportunity has arisen for a Business Development/Administration Assistant for a fixed term part-time contract to cover maternity leave (duration of 9 – 12 months). Must be available to commence the role on 16th June 2025.
We are a leading manufacturer of pheromone-based insect monitoring and control systems in the UK and one of the largest in Europe. Our core expertise is behaviour-modifying insect pheromone lures and non-toxic bio-pesticides. We have pioneered a number of new technologies for agriculture, pest control and public health, including smart IoT-connected monitoring products.

EXPERIENCE:

· Office administration: 1 year (essential)
· Business Development: 1 year (preferred)

Responsibilities

· Build relationships with new and existing customers by emails, phone calls, in person meetings.
· Provide requested information to the customers about the products, product documentation, product prices, lead times, shipment updates, product availability etc
· Promoting Pheromone based product for Agriculture market.
· Process the orders by creating sample request forms and proforma request forms
· To understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these requirements.
· To liaise with the finance team, warehousing, and logistics departments as appropriate.
· Maintain and update product prices via live document
· Organise and participate in online meetings between customers and Head of Pheromone Solutions
· Participate in events such as conferences, shows and exhibitions (traveling may be required)
· Participate in the procurement of new and upcoming projects
· Maintain procurement tasks (purchasing items, receiving and keeping records of all steps of the process.
· Create and maintain database of customers and sales trends to find new ways of reaching existing markets.
· Generating sales opportunities in the UK and Europe through existing channels and look for new opportunities.
· Assist in Marketing tasks as and when required.
