SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or business disciplines.
  • Strong candidates with up to 10 years of relevant experience working business development, including commercial negotiations. Experience in identifying commercial opportunities across value chains (low carbon value chains preferred but not required).
  • Oil and gas or low carbon / energy transition experience preferred.
  • International experience, and experience with JV’s and other partner frameworks preferred.
  • Strong communication, coordination, networking, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to effectively influence others without authority.
  • Demonstrated broad business acumen, can deal with ambiguity and exceptional at balancing corporate intent with delivering pragmatic solutions; strategic thinker.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with external counterparts such as governments, NOCs, IOCs, and other key stakeholders and partners.
  • Strong courage of conviction, bias to action, strategic agility and able to clearly communicate.
  • Flexible to travel across region as business needs dictate.
Responsibilities
  • Identify potentially attractive low carbon solution (LCS) business opportunities for evaluation across multiple products and value chains (Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), Hydrogen (H2), Ammonia (NH3), and Biofuels).
  • Develop and execute commercial strategies for opportunity capture. Lead selected opportunities from inception through to investment decision.
  • Understand, construct, and negotiate / execute agreements for commercialization of new opportunities in LCS; serve as internal interface for commercialization of opportunities to ensure alignment and as necessary, obtain endorsements; employ ExxonMobil and industry commercial practices, processes, and tools.
  • Ability to leverage on policy and technologies to converge on attractive business case; able to integrate commercial, regulatory and technical attributes while progressing opportunities.
  • Primary interface and relationship management to LCS’ customer and stakeholders; develop deep and diverse network across the different parts of the LCS value chain.
  • Negotiate and operationalize stakeholder cooperation agreements.
  • Represent EM LCS in trade associations, government engagements, as well as partnering with other functional departments for our attendance, and participation at conferences and trade fairs to represent company and network development.
  • Provide competitive market insights to help support market strategies and analysis.
  • Affinity and familiarity with economic and cash flow modeling.
