IGS is currently recruiting a remote Business Development Analyst to support corporate management in researching, analyzing, and identifying new business opportunities to support IGS’s growth. If you like puzzles, this is the job for you. Collecting information and putting the pieces together to tell a story is what you will do. This is a growth position and may include travel on behalf of the company to support account management and pre-sales.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Experience in sales, business development, or competitive intelligence in Federal, State, and Commercial
  • Knowledge of or experience with Technomile, Salesforce or other CRM solutions

Requirements:

  • BA/BS Degree with 5+ years of professional experience
  • Strong understanding of federal contracting
  • Demonstrated strategic analyses experience focused on competitors and customers with emphasis on developing conclusions and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated Federal Government contractor process knowledge.
  • Must have exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Must be a self-starter who can work remotely as part of a team, or independently with little supervision or direction.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills required to effectively work with project teams, external/internal partners.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and identify trends relevant to the IGS industry.
  • Must have demonstrated analysis experience focused on competitors and customers with emphasis on developing conclusions and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated Federal Government contractor process knowledge.
  • Must have experience using SharePoint and Microsoft Office for collaborative efforts.
  • Able to work in a team environment and collaborate on tasks, when necessary.
  • Ability to understand customers’ needs and objectives – both IGS customers and ultimate customers who will evaluate the proposal.
  • Ability to travel as needed
Responsibilities
  • Supporting the business development lifecycle to include daily research of open source (sam.gov) and proprietary sources.
  • Identifying specific opportunities for consideration by reviewing sources sought, request for information and request for proposal/quotes by summarizing each and providing to management for bid/no bid. Summary includes source, incumbent, set aside, vehicle, technologies, etc
  • Present daily to management for bid/no bid decisions, and track solicitations.
  • Produce gap analysis of requirements to help determine partnering, if needed.
  • Provide competitor intelligence of likely teams pursuing based on agency, work, and incumbency.
  • Produce specific customer analysis as requested, monitor industry and competitive trends, and maintain awareness of emergent opportunities.
  • Entering research data and information provided by management tied to pipeline opportunities into CRM on a daily basis.
  • Contribute to the upkeep and improvement of our knowledge base repository by attending industry or opportunity events, collecting attendee names, slides and creating detailed notes about the event and relevant information.
  • Prepare draft correspondence, opportunity information slides (capture decks), graphs, and charts of findings and analysis.
  • Support active proposals (e.g., competitive intelligence, past performance analysis, etc.)
  • Support the IGS business development process improvement initiatives, provide recommendations for improvement on technologies and processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
