Description
The Opportunity Most sales roles have you working a tired list of warm leads, running the same script someone else wrote, waiting for management to tell you what to pitch next. This is not that. Micron Agritech is an AI-powered diagnostics company transforming how vets test and treat parasites in livestock and companion animals. We have hundreds of veterinary practices using our technology across the UK and Ireland, and we are expanding into France and beyond. We are looking for a Business Development Representative who is hungry, resourceful, and driven by one thing above all else: booking appointments. Your job is to get our technology in front of veterinarians, by phone, by email, by finding the right angle, and convert conversations into confirmed meetings for our field sales team. You will be measured against a simple metric: demos booked per week. If you love the chase, thrive on the conversion, and want to be part of a company at an exciting stage of growth, read on. What You Will Do Primary: Pipeline Generation Cold call and email veterinary practices across Ireland, the UK and (if French-speaking) France Develop smart strategies for getting past gatekeepers and reaching decision-makers Pitch Micron Agritech clearly and compellingly in the first 30 seconds Book qualified demo appointments for the field sales team, this is your main KPI Manage and update lead records in HubSpot CRM Work with the Head of Sales to refine targeting and outreach approaches Secondary: Customer Success Handle inbound customer enquiries by phone and live chat Support customers with onboarding and basic troubleshooting Flag upsell opportunities and route them appropriately What We Are Looking For We care less about your CV and more about your drive. That said, the right person probably looks like this: You are a natural on the phone, confident, warm, and hard to put off You have a competitive streak and are genuinely motivated by hitting targets You can handle rejection and come back sharper the next time You are organised, you follow up, you log your activity, you do not let leads go cold You communicate clearly in writing and in speech Experience in sales, lead generation, or customer-facing roles is a bonus. Attitude matters more than track record here. French language fluency: if you speak fluent French, this role expands significantly. You would take on outbound outreach into our French distributor territory, working directly with our commercial partner there. It is not a requirement, but it is a real differentiator and would be reflected accordingly. Why Join Us Competitive salary and uncapped commission, your demos booked translate directly into earnings Company shares, you will benefit directly from the companies success Real impact, you will be one of a small commercial team and your work matters from week one Career path, this role is a launchpad. Top performers move up Mission worth believing in, we are improving animal health outcomes and helping vets work smarter Great team, tight, high-trust, no politics, no hand-holding Hybrid working
