As part of our ongoing growth and commitment to excellence, we are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Business Development Associate to cover the Western USA.
Position Overview:
The Business Development Associate – West will be tasked with supporting the commercial team to drive sales in America. This role will be responsible for generating and nurturing leads, supporting new and existing customers through the purchasing process. This is a multifunctional role that includes providing basic technical support, assisting with marketing activities, and providing cost estimates and quotes for stocked products, custom production, and assay services.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage potential customers performing neuroscience research in all sectors throughout the western US, with a core focus of drug discovery organizations.
  • Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition of our iPSC products and services.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute sales strategies that align with company goals.
  • Create sales presentations and materials to educate customers about iPSC products.
  • Participate in market research to stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
  • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Ensure customer inquiries and concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries, providing quotes, and processing orders/shipments.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote products and network with potential clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline status within the organizations CRM.
  • Generate reports on sales performance and market analysis for management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, business, marketing, or related field, plus 2+ years of sales experience.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Prior laboratory experience through employment, coursework, internships, or research projects is preferred.
  • Experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% time.
