Position Summary The Business Development Associate plays a key execution and coordination role within the firm’s Business Development Group. This position is designed to provide organizational leverage, ensure consistent follow-through, and support the execution of business development initiatives — enabling the Director of Business Development to focus on strategy, senior relationships, and growth initiatives. This role partners closely with advisors, marketing, operations, and external partners to help keep business development efforts organized, moving forward, and well-supported. The Coordinator is responsible for managing day-to-day execution, tracking activity, and handling the operational details that ensure initiatives do not stall. This is a hands-on, tactical role for someone who enjoys bringing structure to ideas, managing moving pieces, and seeing projects through from concept to completion. Job Responsibilities Schwab / SAN Relationship Support Track inbound SAN referrals and related activity Coordinate follow-ups, next steps, and communications Support Schwab FC engagement, outreach, and events BD Portal & Internal Enablement Maintain and organize internal BD resources and tools Turn playbooks and training content into clear, usable material Sales Navigator & Prospecting Support Support LinkedIn Sales Navigator workflows and list management Conduct research to support targeted outreach (no cold selling) Inbound Referrals & Routing Manage inbound referrals from website and partner channels Route opportunities to the appropriate advisor in a timely manner Events & Relationship-Building Initiatives Coordinate logistics for firm events, panels, and partner gatherings Support COI and business owner events, including preparation and follow-up Core Competencies Highly organized with strong attention to detail Clear, professional communicator Proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities Collaborative and team-oriented Strong aptitude for integrating Microsoft Copilot and AI-driven workflows into daily work, recognizing AI as a core capability for scaling and leveraging strategic business development efforts Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, operations, or a related field 2–4+ years of experience in business development support, coordination, operations, or a related role Experience in a professional services, advisory, or relationship-based environment preferred Strong organizational and project coordination skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Familiarity with CRM systems and BD-related tools (experience with Salentica or similar platforms a plus) Experience supporting relationship-driven growth efforts preferred Ability to successfully pass criminal background / credit check required Benefits Competitive PTO/Holiday policy 401k match 1st day eligible benefits offering; medical, dental, vision, telemed, disability, + Paid Maternity/Paternity leave Fun and welcoming office environment with monthly and quarterly events Ability to work remotely 20% Cell phone stipend EPP Why HB is a great place to work Employees enjoy the collaborative, inclusive, team environment where they feel challenged and supported.
