REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, & SKILLS

  • Associates degree in a business-related field or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or Engineering;
  • Experience in Sales and/or Marketing;
  • Strong communication skills - Technical writing and oral communication;
  • Medical device industry experience (preferred)
  • Automation, assembly systems or robotics industry knowledge (preferred)
  • Sales Experience (preferred)
  • Market research (preferred)
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project) and advanced PowerPoint experience;
  • Must live within 50 miles of major international airport and travel up to 10-15%

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be available to work overtime
  • May be required to work off shift hours and Holidays

Responsibilities

YOUR MAIN TASKS

The Business Development Associate (BDAS) is dynamic part time role that will help provide strategic direction of the company’s long-term, continued growth while being involved in sales support as well as execute upon tradeshow marketing. BDAS activities will drive top line growth and margin accretion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Explore and analyze new potential markets, trends and technologies;
  • Evaluate strategic positioning and identify opportunities and gaps;
  • Develop and maintain competitive analysis;
  • Explore and identify companies with collaboration potential;
  • Make contacts with potential customers to develop new business opportunities;
  • Assist with cold calls for new business;
  • Attend tradeshows, seminars, conferences and other industry events to network and gain industry insights;
  • Help with the planning and execution of exhibitions
