Job Description for: Business Development Associate
Reports To: Operations Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Source new sales opportunities nationally through research, cold calls, emails and follow-up activities. Solicit new accounts, build rapport and provide technical information (including capabilities of multiple plant locations) to potential or existing customers. This is a growth position within the company and could lead to a prominent role within the Sales Department.

• Cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to potential clients and establishing a line of communication with potential customers
• Determining customer needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions
• Presenting and delivering information to potential clients
• Creating/Maintaining a list/database of prospect clients
• Qualifying leads from Online searches, digital campaigns, conferences, references, tradeshows etc.
• Understanding and communicating customer needs
• Internal communication of sales leads to Sales department and Management
• Addressing and resolving service concerns, should they arise
