Description

ABOUT OPEN.CX

Open.cx is an all-in-one AI-powered customer support platform built for high-volume, complex enterprise support environments. We help airlines, banks, and growth-stage startups resolve thousands of customer issues daily—across web, phone, and email—by combining AI intelligence with human-like empathy. Our customers replace multiple legacy tools with Open.cx, cut costs by up to 12x, and deliver better support experiences than ever before. Backed by Y Combinator, Pioneer Fund, and industry leaders from Klarna and Mollie, we’re building the future of enterprise customer support.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Open.cx, you won’t just be sending cold emails or booking calls—you’ll be on the front lines of our growth, owning the first touchpoint with some of the most exciting enterprises in the world. This isn’t a “sit back and wait for leads” role. We’re a lean, fast-moving startup, so you’ll be wearing multiple hats: market researcher, storyteller, strategist, and relentless closer.
You’ll be responsible for identifying high-value target accounts, creating meaningful outreach, qualifying opportunities, and helping shape our go-to-market playbook. You’ll also collaborate with marketing, product, and leadership to experiment, adapt, and double down on what works. Your work will have a direct, visible impact on the growth and trajectory of the company.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Prospect & Outreach: Identify, research, and reach out to ideal customer profiles (ICP) in our target industries (airlines, banks, high-growth startups, and more).
  • Multi-Channel Engagement: Run creative outbound campaigns across email, LinkedIn, phone, and events to get in front of decision-makers.
  • Lead Qualification: Qualify inbound and outbound leads to ensure the best fit, understanding each prospect’s pain points and how Open.cx can solve them.
  • Pipeline Building: Maintain and grow a healthy pipeline of high-quality opportunities, ensuring steady progression from first contact to discovery calls.
  • Market Research: Keep a pulse on industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to adjust strategies in real time.
  • Sales Playbook Development: Work closely with leadership to refine outreach sequences, messaging, and qualification criteria.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with marketing on campaign ideas, provide feedback to product based on prospect conversations, and share insights with leadership.
  • Event Participation: Represent Open.cx at trade shows, networking events, and online webinars to generate interest and leads.
  • Multi-Hat Contributions:

    • Help create sales collateral and pitch decks when needed.

    • Step in to run quick demos for smaller prospects.
    • Support customer success in onboarding if needed for strategic accounts.
