Jade & Incense is a modern incense and fragrance brand founded in Shanghai, bringing the heritage of Eastern incense culture into contemporary everyday life. We combine traditional fragrance culture, natural botanical notes, and modern lifestyle rituals to create incense for moments of focus, relaxation, gifting, and elevated living.

As we expand our creator network and offline retail presence, we are looking for a proactive Business Development professional to help us find, engage, and qualify the right partners.

The Role

Your core mission is simple: Find the right creators online and the right retail partners offline, start the conversation, and turn cold prospects into qualified business opportunities.

Offline Retail Development

• Prospect and visit potential retail partners through targeted field outreach and in-person cold visits
• Assess stores based on brand fit, customer profile, product mix, pricing, and commercial potential
• Introduce Jade & Incense to store owners, buyers, and decision-makers
• Qualify partnership interest and hand over high-potential leads for deeper commercial discussions
• Maintain accurate prospect, contact, and follow-up records

Creator & Affiliate Development

• Identify relevant creators, influencers, and content partners across Xiaohongshu, Douyin/TikTok, Instagram, and other relevant platforms
• Evaluate creators based on audience fit, content quality, engagement, brand alignment, and commercial potential
• Conduct proactive outreach and introduce our commission-based affiliate partnership model
• Qualify genuine interest and support progression into product seeding and further collaboration
• Build and maintain a structured creator and affiliate database

• Quality of creator and retail prospecting
• Effective outreach and decision-maker engagement
• Brand and audience fit
• Qualified partnership opportunities
• Affiliate and retail partnership interest
• Progression into product seeding or commercial discussions
• Follow-up discipline and database accuracy
• Quality of market feedback and commercial insights

Who We’re Looking For

• Proactive, confident, and comfortable with both cold outreach and in-person prospecting
• Strong communicator with good commercial judgement
• Organised, execution-driven, and consistent with follow-ups
• Interested in brands, retail, creators, and business growth
• Experience in business development, sales, retail partnerships, creator partnerships, affiliate marketing, or channel development is preferred
• Experience in fragrance, lifestyle, home, gifting, or independent retail is a plus
