REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Compressed air industry experience would be a huge asset, but market knowledge of Western Canadian industries and a contact base/existing positive reputation is critical.
  • Industrial, municipal and/or oilfield equipment sales history will be considered
  • Proven track record of obtaining high-profile, more complex deals and contracts
  • 10 years minimum experience

Responsibilities

Market cultivation with expected benefit to ALL CAE revenue centers, but with focus on large client or larger scope initiatives. It is important to note CAE is part of a North American wide group with 100 sister companies in pumps, motors, controls, flow measurement automation, life sciences, and more.

Fabrication (FAB)

  • Help drive fiberglass enclosure initiative – more through EPCs, conferences, etc.
  • EPC engagement – open doors to more RFQs
  • Help determine new markets, even non-air potentially

Associate Network

  • Determine prospects, establish initial relationship and work with General Manager to sign up new Associate Distributors for Kaishan, Trident, ATS, and other products and services which allow for 2 levels of markup and provide market access for CAE to markets otherwise difficult to serve

Cross Sell and Collab

  • Extensive opportunity base – the individual needs to be hard-wired that Compressed Air is only one of our product lines, and be open to pumps, motors, controls, automation, etc. – the full FCG gambit
  • Any opportunities discovered that are determined by General Manager to be more appropriate for Collab program will be introduced by Rep to appropriate sister company contact, and Collab program bonuses to be paid as per current FCG rules and protocol

Service

  • Uncover opportunities for larger scale service deals with support of respective Service Manager/Branch Manager, and ensure introduction to Technical Sales Rep – multiple locations, fleet service, large equipment, etc.

Inside Sales/Parts

  • Help secure larger-scale opportunities, normally to be handed to Inside Sales Department for quoting and execution (OEM’s, Resellers, Large end-users, potential to secure parts needs for multiple locations)

Rentals/Diesel Sales/Used Equipment

  • Investigate/identify potential new markets and programs to expand department
  • Investigate potential/client entry for air over the fence/rental of complete IA packages (oilfield, plant shutdown, etc.)
  • Help identify new sources of used equipment, partnerships for procuring, selling and renting as market dictates
  • Connect with other rental houses (coordinating with Rentals Manager to avoid duplication of efforts) to ensure CAE is known as a niche provider of compressed air rental solutions
