Due to their continuous growth, they are now seeking further 4 self-motivated and target driven Business Development Consultants to join their team looking after SCG Group and SCG Wales.
You will use outbound sales and business development techniques to develop and close new business opportunities. Utilise networking opportunities and events to proactively develop your pipeline. Identify opportunities for specialists to develop whilst you own the customer relationship and sales cycle. You will nurture footholds into new customers and then identify a full range of opportunities across the SCG product/service portfolio (land and expand).

Business Development Consultant, the role:

  • Working closely with the prospective customers to understand the underlying requirements, decision criteria and the most appropriate solutions
  • Generating sales opportunities through outbound sales/marketing activity, sales strategies and entrepreneurial initiative
  • Managing records of all sales activity through the designated business systems
  • Working towards achieving and exceeding your monthly targets and contribute towards team/business unit target
  • Aiming at the acquisition of new customers and the cross sell/upsell opportunities into existing relationships
  • Mapping the SCG Sales Process and ensure a thorough and professional engagement with each opportunity
  • Articulating the financial, operational and technical benefits of each sale, negotiating contract awards, providing detailed analysis of the reasons for each contract award and/or loss
  • Delivering forecasting to the business to support the appropriate resource planning
  • Embracing opportunities to drive further sales success, working in conjunction with SCG’s Marketing Team, Lead Generation Team and the wider SCG Sales Orientated Community

Business Development Consultant, the person:

  • Previous experience within a similar role
  • Familiarity with Telecom industry would be highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Business acumen and entrepreneurial flair
  • Knowledge of proactive digital sales cycle management (prospecting, pipeline and CRM/systems management as well as reporting)
  • Comfortable with sales negotiation
  • Customer Service orientated with a passion for delivering the very best experience
  • Professional, resilient and team player
  • Competitive, using own initiative and problem-solving abilities
