SUMMARY The Business Development Consultant position will serve as the face and voice of our organization, building and maintaining relationships with key external stakeholders and representing our brand across multiple platforms. This role is critical in driving awareness, engagement, and growth, while ensuring our messaging aligns with business objectives and regulatory requirements. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Government Affairs: * Engage with government agencies, policymakers, and regulatory bodies to advocate for the company’s interests. * Monitor legislative and regulatory developments relevant to the business and communicate their impact internally. * Represent the organization in industry forums, public policy discussions, and community events. * Develop and maintain relationships with key government stakeholders to ensure positive brand recognition and policy alignment. Social Media: * Design and execute social media strategies to build brand awareness and engagement across platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram). * Create, curate, and publish engaging content that resonates with target audiences and reflects the company’s values and initiatives. * Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics; adjust strategies as needed to maximize impact. * Serve as the primary point of contact for online brand interactions, ensuring timely and professional communication. Business Development: * Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the organization’s reach. * Build and nurture relationships with potential clients, partners, and industry leaders. * Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals, presentations, and marketing materials tailored to prospective clients. * Attend networking events, conferences, and trade shows to promote the brand and generate leads. QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Political Science, Business, or a related field. * 2+ years of experience in brand ambassadorship, government relations, social media management, or business development. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels. * Proficiency with major social media platforms and analytics tools. * Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. * Ability to travel as needed for meetings, events, and conferences.
