Restaurant Associates, a leading name in the foodservice industry, are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to join our team. This role is critical in spearheading new business initiatives, securing lucrative contracts, and driving growth within the Restaurant Associates sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of winning bids and business opportunities to meet and exceed income targets.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key contacts at target clients to enhance awareness and drive new business.
  • Manage the entire sales process from initial contact through to signed contract, ensuring a smooth handover to the operational team.
  • Collaborate with the Sales & Retention Director to elevate Restaurant Associates’ profile within the sector.
  • Identify and overcome barriers to success, ensuring we stay ahead of industry trends and client needs.
  • Develop creative and innovative business development strategies that resonate with clients.
  • Leverage central marketing initiatives to boost Restaurant Associates’ presence and thought leadership in the industry.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Senior-level experience in business development or procurement within the public sector, specifically in foodservice and hospitality
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with high-level clients and partners.
  • Strong project management skills and experience managing long sales cycles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to produce high-quality proposals and tender documents.
  • A strategic thinker who can drive multiple initiatives simultaneously and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to craft winning, financially sound proposals.
  • A credible ambassador for Restaurant Associates, both internally and externally.

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving license.
  • Willingness to travel and engage with clients across various locations.
