Description:

Key responsibilities:

  • Commercial Management - responsible for the functional leadership of the Dry Bulk business in APAC region. Specifically the relationship management between existing customers. Achieve revenue & margin budgets & growth targets for the defined Dry Bulk business in the APAC region.
  • Strategic Business Planning - Create strategy definition and business plans for the Dry Bulk business that delivers the desired long-term growth ambitions; investigate and develop strategic partnerships / alliances.
  • Business Development - responsible for delivering agreed aspects of the Dry Bulk’s sales & growth objectives. Promote & sell Dry Bulk services in APAC region - establish new customer relationships and research, explore & develop new sales opportunities.
  • Marketing & PR – Provide general marketing expertise and sales collateral for communications and conferences. Gather industry and segment knowledge and intelligence to keep ahead of market developments and to consolidate these information.Internally work with local and group functions to ensure new business opportunities are exploited effectively & professionally. Collaborate and coordinate with diverse teams (technical, operations, suppliers, customer service etc) to ensure new projects are planned and supported in an aligned way.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in business development, preferably in the dry bulk shipping or logistics industry
  • Strong understanding of the dry bulk market, including major commodities and shipping trends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinking and analytical capabilities
  • Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and guide a team
  • Proficiency in market analysis and data interpretation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Maritime Studies, or related field
