POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Business Development Director will play a critical leadership role in driving the company’s growth through strategic marketing and business development initiatives. This individual will blend technical understanding with business acumen to articulate the unique value of our products, elevate brand presence, and influence revenue generation across multiple channels. A key focus will be on expanding customer engagement, driving product awareness, and creating compelling narratives that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a deep understanding of B2B technology markets, product marketing, and business development strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. MBA or advanced degrees are a plus.
  • EXPERIENCE:15+ years of experience in business development, product marketing, or a similar leadership role in the technology or B2B sectors, with a demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive business outcomes.
  • EXPERTISE IN MARKETING STRATEGY:Deep understanding of B2B marketing, particularly in technology, SaaS, or industrial sectors, with a proven track record of scaling marketing initiatives to drive business growth.
  • STRONG TECHNICAL ACUMEN:Ability to grasp and communicate complex technical concepts and translate them into compelling business solutions and marketing content for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • LEADERSHIP & COMMUNICATION:Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage audiences at all levels, from executives to technical teams.
  • DIGITAL & CRM EXPERTISE:Proficiency in digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEM tools), CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo).
  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT:Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, timelines, and stakeholders.
  • INDUSTRY REPRESENTATION:Experience representing a company at conferences, webinars, and other external events is a plus.

  • Strategic Leadership in Marketing & Business Development:
  • Develop and execute the company’s business development strategy, with a focus on expanding market presence, enhancing sales enablement, and growing strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and sales teams to align business goals with marketing initiatives, product roadmaps, and customer needs.
  • Creation of Technical Marketing Assets:
  • Lead the creation of high-impact technical marketing materials, including white papers, case studies, product datasheets, and FAQs, ensuring clarity and impact across various audiences.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand, persuasive messaging for a diverse set of stakeholders, from C-suite executives to end users.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Develop and deliver dynamic presentations, webinars, and other engaging formats for key customer meetings, product launches, and industry events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential customers, identifying growth opportunities and ensuring satisfaction with the company’s solutions.
  • Sales Enablement & Market Awareness:
  • Design and maintain a library of technical and business-focused sales enablement content (e.g., pitch decks, competitive intelligence, value propositions).
  • Guide the sales and marketing teams to leverage content effectively in all stages of the customer lifecycle, from prospecting to closing.
  • Thought Leadership & Public Representation:
  • Represent the company at major industry events, trade shows, and webinars, positioning the brand as a thought leader in the technology space.
  • Oversee and contribute to media relations strategies, including press releases, social media campaigns, and industry publications to amplify the company’s market presence.
  • Digital Marketing Strategy & Execution:
  • Lead the execution of digital marketing strategies to drive online engagement, leveraging platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, and industry-specific channels.
  • Monitor trends, performance, and analytics to optimize ongoing campaigns and drive high-quality lead generation.
  • Content & Brand Consistency:
  • Oversee the company’s website and digital assets, ensuring consistent, up-to-date messaging that aligns with both the company’s technical capabilities and broader business objectives.
