Haigh-Farr is seeking a Business Development Engineer with 5+ years of experience working in product development. The Business Development Engineer has primary responsibility for supporting the Business Development Department as a technical resource. This position is ideally suited to a candidate who thrives on challenge, seeks opportunities, and enjoys a dynamic environment. Requirements Responsibilities: Responsible for supporting customers and business development tasks. Field technical inquiries. Support proposals and bids in response to customer RFPs. Generate technical volumes and support pricing build ups for proposals. Determine approach and architecture for new designs. Track and report on new opportunities to Senior Management. Collaborate with the Engineering department on design approaches. Attend trade shows and customer visits, travel will only be necessary a few times per year. Provide market updates and input on strategic direction. Knowledge & Skills: Excellent organizational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting. Technical skills required to understand and propose products or solutions by focusing on customer requirements. Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent customer interface skills Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, Engineering - Electrical or Mechanical required 5+ years of proven work experience in product development. Experience in a manufacturing company a plus. Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project is required.
