Description

Our client is a well established and successful asset based transportation company providing service across North America. They are looking to add a Sales and Business Development professional to their team in Calgary. Reporting to the General Manager and responsible for executing sales efforts to expand the customer base through generating new business and growing existing business, the right person will have significant Sales experience within the transportation industry, a passion for developing new business and the ability to manage relationships with existing customers. This role offers a very competitive compensation package.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in sales, business development, and account management, particularly within the transportation industry. You will be responsible for driving new business, executing sales strategies, and collaborating closely with the operations team to ensure seamless service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
-Identify and develop new business opportunities and prospects
-Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective account management
-Execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed sales targets
-Present business solutions and proposals to potential clients with strong presentation skills
-Collaborate closely with the operations team to ensure successful delivery of services
-Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to overall company success
Requirements:
-5 to 10 years of experience in business development or sales within the transportation industry
-Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, with a focus on driving new business
-Excellent communication and presentation skills
-Strong ability to manage client relationships and develop long-term partnerships
