Job Title: Business Development Executive
Salary: Up to €35,000 basic. OTE circa €60k
Location: Dublin
Reporting into: Business Development Manager and Commercial Director

ABOUT THE TEAM:

The Business Development Team at CBTax is responsible for identifying, engaging, and securing new business opportunities. Working closely with the marketing, R&D tax, and client delivery teams, the team plays a key role in expanding our client base and maintaining strong relationships. This is a fast-paced, results-driven function that thrives on strategic prospecting, consultative selling, and high-value client interactions.

As a Business Development Executive, you will be at the forefront of CBTax’s growth strategy, responsible for generating new leads, managing the sales pipeline, and converting prospects into long-term clients. This role is ideal for a proactive, target-driven sales professional who thrives in a high-performance environment.

In this Role, You’ll:

  • Identify and engage potential clients through strategic outreach and targeted sales efforts.
  • Manage a structured sales pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of high-quality opportunities.
  • Conduct outbound calls, emails, and networking activities to generate new business.
  • Qualify leads and book high-value client meetings for senior consultants.
  • Develop a deep understanding of R&D tax relief to effectively communicate our value proposition.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to refine lead-generation strategies and optimise conversion rates.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions in the CRM system to track progress and performance.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets, unlocking additional performance-based rewards.

We’re Seeking Someone with Experience Including:

  • Proven success in B2B sales, business development, account management, customer service or telesales.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced environment and/or delivering exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication and persuasion skills, with the ability to engage C-level executives.
  • Ability to manage multiple prospects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Resilient, self-motivated, and driven by uncapped earning potential.
