TECHNICAL AND SALES QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years experience in enterprise technology sales or pre-sales, with a focus on data platforms, analytics, or artificial intelligence solutions.
  • Deep understanding of how data and AI can solve real-world business challenges across various industries.
  • Able to translate complex technical topics such as data lakehouse architectures, LLM deployments, or machine learning pipelines into commercially relevant conversations.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, multi-party sales engagements across both IT and line-of-business (LOB) stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with hyperscaler-native and third-party platforms including Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, GCP BigQuery, Power BI, Tableau, Databricks, Snowflake, etc.
  • Understanding of AI/ML lifecycle, including model development, deployment, governance, and ethical considerations.
  • Strong understanding of cloud economics and how to structure service offerings around platform spend and customer ROI.
  • Experience selling advisory, professional, and managed services, including data strategy, platform modernisation, data governance, and AI roadmap execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to C-suite and technical stakeholders alike.
  • Experience with opportunity management, CRM discipline, and pipeline development practices.
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly motivated and commercially focused Business Development Executive (BDE) to lead the growth of our Data & AI Services portfolio in Australia. This role will be pivotal in helping customers unlock value from their data assets, leverage AI to transform their operations, and navigate the rapidly evolving data landscape.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in cloud data platforms, understands the business impact of AI (including LLMs and Agents), and can translate customer challenges into actionable solutions. You will work closely with Account Managers, Solution Architects, and key hyperscaler and ISV partners to win new business and scale delivery of strategic data and AI outcomes.
