Location: Sheffield (Office-Based)
Salary: Up to £32,000 + Uncapped Commission
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm (Full-Time)

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our client is the UK’s leading supplier of chocolate, ingredients, and packaging, working with chocolatiers, bakeries, and dessert specialists. They are looking for a Business Development Executive to join their growing team in Sheffield.
In this role, you’ll manage a portfolio of smaller business accounts, supporting their growth through excellent service, upselling, and cross-selling. You’ll also focus on winning new business – identifying prospects, building strong relationships, and converting them into loyal, long-term customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and nurture a portfolio of small business accounts, ensuring regular contact and relationship building.
  • Drive growth through upselling, cross-selling, and tailored product recommendations.
  • Identify and engage new business prospects within your target market.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of leads, converting them into active customers via calls, outreach, and occasional visits.
  • Attend industry events to network and generate new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular activity and performance reports.
  • Meet key targets, including:
  • Sales Growth: 10% year-on-year volume increase across your portfolio.
  • Conversion: Defined number of prospects converted each month.
  • Customer Contact: Every account contacted at least once per quarter.
  • Sales Activity: Minimum of 30+ proactive customer interactions per week.
