Veson Nautical, a global leader in maritime shipping technology, is in an exciting stage of growth and transformation, and we’re looking for great people to join the team.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

In this role, you will be working in Veson Nautical’s Data Intelligence division. Veson Nautical’s Data Intelligence division incorporates 3 brands, VesselsValue, Q88 & Oceanbolt. Each solution delivers data and insights via an online platform and APIs to the Maritime Sector. We are looking for a hardworking, self-motivated and confident team member with a strong commercial background and a successful track record of converting leads into new business sales.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Increasing the client base through lead conversion
  • Selling the Veson Data Intelligence products and services; offering current and new data sets to provide custom solutions for prospective clients
  • Working with the Management, Marketing, Development and Research teams to co-ordinate and deliver effective campaigns
  • Less than 25% travel annually – Including attending industry events and face-to-face prospect meetings

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

  • Previous experience in developing new business is essential, preferably 3+ years in data sales or similar SaaS/Software/subscription products and services
  • Tenacious and resourceful in reaching the relevant contacts and decision makers within the company
  • Confident in cold calling companies from generated leads
  • Drive and motivation, energy and activity
  • Experience in sales with a track record of winning new business
  • Ability to think strategically and build a plan to drive sales further
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail under tight deadlines
  • Ability to present to both small and large audiences
  • Understanding of the maritime sector is preferred, but not essential
