QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Minimum 1–4 years of experience in freight forwarding, preferably in LCL sales.
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping, Incoterms, and freight forwarding procedures.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE:

To generate new business and expand the client base for Less than Container Load (LCL) freight services by identifying prospects, building strong relationships, and delivering customized logistics solutions. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, increasing market share, and ensuring client satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Business Development & Sales
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for LCL freight services (import & export).
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase LCL volumes and market share.
  • Client Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, freight forwarders, and agents.
  • Conduct regular meetings, follow-ups, and client visits to understand requirements and provide solutions.
  • Market Research & Analysis
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.
  • Identify niche markets and develop targeted sales campaigns.
  • Quotation & Negotiation
  • Prepare and send competitive quotations for LCL shipments.
  • Negotiate rates and terms with clients while maintaining profitability.
  • Coordination & Operations Support
  • Liaise with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth handling of shipments.
  • Follow up on bookings, documentation, and shipment status.
  • Reporting & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, prospects, and pipeline.
  • Submit regular sales reports to management.
