THE IDEAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A proven track record in business development within Automotive, Engineering, Manufacturing or related industries
  • Somebody who is confident, resilient, tenacious and able to communicate effectively at all levels
  • The skill to understand customers’ challenges and connect them to the solutions you can offer
  • Excellent diary and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • The ability and discipline to manage a sales pipeline effectively.
  • The commitment to accurately record activities and forecast your business.
  • A strong team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the Midlands and South Regions

  • Drive new technical services business through your own network and G&P’s existing relationships
  • Engage prospects via LinkedIn, email, and telephone to arrange meetings - both virtual and face-to-face
  • Attend industry events and promote G&P as a thought leader
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasting and CRM updates to track opportunities and pipeline
  • Collaborate with Operations and Talent Acquisition to ensure the right skills are in place for new business
  • Ensure compliance with commercial pricing, sales strategies, and corporate guidelines
