  • A well-established network of contacts in food manufacturing, retail, or food safety sectors.
  • A team-first attitude—you collaborate, communicate, and celebrate wins together.
  • Executive presence and confidence in presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • A strategic thinker who can translate customers’ needs into commercial wins.
  • Provide market information to the management team on our competitor’s activity and new business opportunities.
  • Input into the development of the company’s sales and marketing strategies, in identifying market sectors, new business opportunities and threats to the business.

Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE:

To support the Sales & Business Development Team but actively seeking new opportunities, building client relationships and driving growth across the food industry

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND MAIN DUTIES:

  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across the UK food sector.
  • Work alongside our call centre team to support lead generation efforts, helping to identify and qualify new business opportunities through strategic outreach and prospecting.
  • Build relationships that matter: Develop deep, trust-based partnerships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate to win: Work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and technical teams to craft compelling proposals and ensure seamless onboarding.
  • Innovate and influence: Bring fresh ideas to the table, challenge the status quo, and help shape our go-to-market strategy.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to keep us one step ahead.
