QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the smart home technology industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of smart home systems, platforms, and solutions (e.g., Wired, Wireless, KNX, Control4, Zigbee, MATTER, Z-Wave).
  • Strong network of contacts within the smart home industry, including distributors, integrators, and developers.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and align them with company goals.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with IoT technologies and integration.
  • Familiarity with home automation protocols and platforms.
  • Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Business Development Manager will spearhead our efforts to identify and develop new business opportunities within the smart home sector. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical knowledge, and relationship-building skills to expand our client base and partnerships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute strategic business plans to drive growth and market penetration in the smart home industry.
  • Identify, prospect, and build relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about trends, technologies, and competitors in the smart home market to identify new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the technical and product teams to align client needs with innovative smart home solutions.
  • Lead contract negotiations and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and conferences to promote our solutions.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for improving product offerings based on market feedback.
  • Prepare and present reports on sales performance, market trends, and business opportunities.
