Experience & Qualifications (Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge)

  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, trends, and customer needs analysis.

Responsibilities

Reach Packaging is one of Ireland’s leading suppliers of customised and generic food-to-go packaging, catering disposables, branded bags, boxes, gift wrap, hygiene products and more to businesses throughout the country. Our customer base includes local coffee shops, take aways and fashion retailers as well as nationally recognised brands in both food, grocery and fashion. Our recent acquisition of Paramount Packaging has added the extra category of Industry and Pharma to our customer base and product offer.
The BDE – New Business will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new business opportunities for Reach Packaging. This role focuses exclusively on prospecting, generating leads, and converting potential clients into new business, driving the company’s growth in both new markets and sectors.

Role Responsibilities (Overview)

  • Identify New Business Opportunities: Research and prospect potential customers across various sectors to generate new business leads and opportunities for Reach Packaging.
  • Sales Generation: Develop and execute strategies to win new clients and increase market share for Reach Packaging.
  • Lead the Sales Process: Manage the entire sales process from initial contact to deal closure, ensuring a smooth transition from prospect to customer.
  • Customer Needs Assessment: Understand the needs of potential clients and propose tailored solutions, including new product offerings or innovative packaging solutions.
  • Networking and Market Expansion: Build and expand a network of contacts, attend industry events, and engage with potential customers to promote Reach Packaging’s services and solutions.
  • Develop Sales Strategies: Create and execute a comprehensive sales plan to maximize new business opportunities.
  • Market and Competitor Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Reporting and Forecasting: Provide regular updates on sales performance, progress towards goals, and forecasts to the Head of Sales.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with internal teams to ensure that new business initiatives align with company goals and product capabilities.
