As we expand into new regions and markets, we are seeking a Business Development Specialist to drive growth, build new client relationships, and help position Ven-Tech Subsea as the leading provider of subsea solutions in North America.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Business Development Specialist will focus on identifying new business opportunities, securing contracts, and building strategic relationships within the commercial diving, underwater inspection, and marine services sectors. You will work closely with our leadership and operations teams to align sales efforts with service capabilities and company growth objectives.
This is a high-impact role designed for a motivated individual with strong networking skills and a passion for business growth.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • 3–7 years of experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition
  • Experience in marine, construction, diving, inspection, or industrial services is a strong asset
  • Knowledge of RFP and procurement processes, especially in government or industrial sectors
  • Self-starter with strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to travel regionally and attend site visits, client meetings, and conferences
  • CRM or pipeline management experience preferred
Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across sectors such as marine infrastructure, civil construction, ports, utilities, energy, and environmental services
  • Develop and manage a qualified pipeline of leads and actively follow up with prospective clients
  • Build and maintain relationships with contractors, engineers, procurement managers, and project owners
  • Track and respond to RFPs, tenders, and prequalification opportunities
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry networking events to promote Ven-Tech Subsea’s services
  • Collaborate with the internal team on pricing strategy and proposal development
  • Monitor market trends, client needs, and competitor activities
  • Report weekly/monthly on sales activity, pipeline development, and closed deals
