BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT / ACCOUNT MANAGER

Location: West Ireland (Galway, Clare, Limerick + surrounding areas)
Industry: Wine Sales (B2B, On-trade – restaurants, hotels)
Employment Type: Full-time

Wines Direct is a respected player in the Irish wine market. We specialize in sourcing wine directly from independent growers globally. We focus on quality and personalized service, particularly to the hospitality sector.

We are looking for someone to:

  • Develop and grow new business within the assigned territory.
  • Maintain and expand existing customer relationships (Account Management).
  • Follow a regular call plan but remain flexible to client needs.
  • Generate leads through:
  • Networking
  • Social media
  • Referrals
  • Cold/warm calling
  • Work closely with your MD to meet sales targets.
  • Maintain product knowledge and attend regular training.

Have you

  • Sales and business development experience, ideally in the on-trade/hospitality sector
  • Strong knowledge and passion for wine
  • Self-driven and target-oriented
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • Based in/near Galway, Clare, Limerick
  • WSET qualifications (Wine & Spirit Education Trust)
  • Competence in social media marketing
  • Proven success in both new business development and account management
  • Converting leads to long-term customers
  • Meeting/exceeding monthly sales targets
  • Building a strong presence in the West Ireland territory
  • Developing a reputation for excellent wine knowledge and client service
