About the Role We are looking for a Business Development & Growth Associate who can represent VALSEA in the field — attending meetings, showing up at the right events, and building the relationships that turn into real partnerships. This is a front-facing role. You will be the face of VALSEA in rooms where it matters, working closely with the CEO to open doors and keep them open. If you are naturally a people person, know how to follow through, and get energised by building something from scratch — this role is for you. What You Will Do Attend partnership and BD meetings on behalf of or alongside the CEO Represent VALSEA at industry events, conferences and networking sessions across SEA Identify and research potential partnership opportunities Follow up with partners and prospects after meetings and events Maintain and update partnership pipeline and contact database Prepare meeting briefs, summaries and follow-up action items Support the CEO in drafting partnership proposals and decks Coordinate with internal teams to ensure partnership commitments are tracked and delivered Monitor industry events calendar and recommend relevant events to attend Build and maintain relationships with key ecosystem players — VCs, accelerators, tech communities and government agencies Who You Are Genuinely passionate about what VALSEA is building — you care about the mission, not just the role Experience in BD within a tech, SaaS or AI company preferred Confident and professional in representing a company in any setting Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Excellent written and verbal communication in English Organised and able to track multiple partnerships simultaneously Self-starter who takes ownership without needing to be managed Comfortable working in a fast-moving, ambiguous startup environment Proficiency in additional SEA languages is a plus Familiarity with CRM or partnership tracking tools Who Will Thrive Here Someone who believes in what VALSEA stands for and wants to represent it with conviction Someone who enjoys being in the room and knows how to work it A natural connector who follows through on every conversation Someone who takes pride in representing a brand with integrity High-energy individuals who are motivated by building relationships from zero What You'll Get Direct exposure to partnership and BD strategy at an early-stage startup Work closely with the CEO on high-impact external relationships Opportunity to travel and represent VALSEA across SEA Equity-aligned compensation A front row seat to building a speech intelligence company for Southeast Asia About VALSEA VALSEA is speech intelligence infrastructure for Southeast Asia — built for the accents, dialects, and code-switching that every other AI ignores.
