ICON is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Business Development Candidate. An experienced business development consultant who will play a hunter role, responsible for acquiring new clients for ICON. Qualified candidates will add expertise to our growing segments, including: custom software, technology, digital solutions and consulting across ICON’s client portfolio.

The candidate and will be responsible for achieving sales growth through new account development, while identifying areas of opportunity for ICON to expand its services within current client organizations. Personally developing strong, long-term relationships and referrals with senior management at targeted firms Manage the end-to-end sales process for all opportunities including initial client communication, on-site presentations, RFI response, multi-day client workshops, RFP submission, negotiation and deal signing.
The business development consultant ensures client satisfaction and is responsible for deeply understanding the client’s needs, maximizing the value of the current client engagement, and increasing revenue by introducing the client to new products or services offered by ICON. The candidate will develop revenue-producing relationships with decision-making CxO level executives at targeted firms, as well as drive the sales cycle of all assigned sales opportunities from initial prospect communication through contract execution.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5+ years of related (digital and technology services sales) experience with client relationship responsibilities.
  • Expertise in new digital trends and development in new areas of technology (i.e. ML, AI is preferred, digital product, apps and experiences to build strategies from within, designing and developing experiences to reach new customers.)
  • Related experience selling Technical / Digital agency services to Fortune 500 businesses.
  • Related experience selling Mobile app services to Fortune 500 businesses.
  • Background in and/or understanding of selling principles and agile development a plus.
  • Experience with client sales engagement to include proactive networking, warm calling, and selling to multiple contacts within an organization, including ‘C’ levels.
  • Solid technical background with hands on experience in digital technologies.
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders and projects
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Collaborative, adaptive account leader.
  • Excellent analytical skills & problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and complete assignments accurately; can work independently, and manage time effectively.
  • Must exhibit a high degree of initiative and creativity, good judgment, and professional ethics.
  • Must be highly organized, able to prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience with a CRM tool such as SalesForce or Pipedrive preferred.

  • Recommend appropriate internal resources to effectively serve the account.
  • Prepare reports and forecasts.
  • The consultant will be responsible for tracking account progress towards goals.
  • Identify and approach new potential strategic customers.
  • Conduct outreach and develop ongoing relationships with community/professional organizations and other sources.
  • Maintains relationships with community partners by reaching out to partners/referral sources weekly.
