Description

ABOUT US

Globally, energy markets are in transition to a net zero future and the entities within these markets are transforming their underlying business models to ensure that they stay relevant, sustainable and profitable. As one of Australia’s largest energy providers, we are proud of our purpose to lead and accelerate the clean energy transformation for all.
EnergyAustralia is at the forefront of the energy transition, focusing on innovative solutions to power homes and businesses sustainably. Our Customer Assets team is dedicated to driving the adoption of behind-the-meter (BtM) products and energy solutions, contributing to the growth of our Virtual Power Plant (VPP).

Responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Customer Assets Business Development Lead to join our team. This role is pivotal in both creating strategic relationships and managing a network of channel partnerships to expand the reach of our BtM energy products, including solar, battery storage, and electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.

  • Execute a channel partnership strategy to grow and expand the distribution of BtM energy products and customers.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new channel partners, including contractors, installers, retailers, and project developers.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements, define co-marketing and sales programs, and manage ongoing partner relationships.
  • Monitor partner performance, track key metrics, and implement strategies to optimise channel sales and customer experience.
  • Research and respond to relevant grant opportunities, RFPs, and other funding sources to support the commercialisation of our VPP.
  • Collaborate with the product management team to provide market insights, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence.
  • Represent EnergyAustralia at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build brand awareness and partnership opportunities.
