The Purpose of the role: Responsible for driving the growth, retention, and optimization of TFS's e-commerce logistics ecosystem across South Africa's landscape. This role encompasses the management of Business Development, Client Onboarding, Account Management, and Service Portfolio and Solutions teams. Additionally, the role involves developing innovative logistics programs and frameworks to strengthen seller and client relationships, expand TFS's presence across industry verticals and geographic boundaries, and align the fulfilment solutions team with evolving supply chain needs and market demands. Your responsibilities can include: Strategic Team Building and Development: Establish and build the Business Development, Client Onboarding, Account Management, and Service Portfolio & Solutions functions from the ground up. Recruit, structure, and provide foundational leadership to create a high-performing multidisciplinary team aligned with TFS's e-commerce logistics ecosystem strategy. Design and implement comprehensive training frameworks to develop logistics solutions expertise and establish best practices for the evolving team structure. Market Entry and Logistics Expansion: Identify and secure foundational partnerships with prominent retailers, brands, and e-commerce businesses seeking end-to-end logistics solutions. Research and establish entry strategies for emerging market segments through strategic 3PL partnerships and new service development. Explore and build pathways for TFS's international logistics expansion through cross-border e-commerce and freight forwarding opportunities. Client Acquisition and Relationship Framework Development: Create and implement foundational strategies for client acquisition, growth, and retention through innovative fulfilment solutions and operational excellence frameworks. Establish customer-centric programs and processes that will form the foundation for long-term logistics partnerships and service portfolio expansion. Service Portfolio Development and Revenue Framework Creation: Build the Service Portfolio & Solutions function to optimize logistics offerings and establish delivery capabilities aligned with market demand and client needs. Develop initial revenue optimization strategies and frameworks for tailored logistics solutions, pricing models, and value-added services. Cross-Functional Partnership Establishment Establish productive working relationships with TFS internal teams to create end-to-end client and end- customer experience frameworks. Create communication protocols and liaison processes between logistics clients and internal stakeholders to ensure operational excellence from launch. Qualifications and experience: Bachelor’s degree in economics, Business Administration, or similar field. Advanced degrees are advantageous. A minimum of 7 years’ experience in e-commerce, logistics management, or related fields, with at least 3 years in senior leadership roles.
