We are seeking a forward-thinking, dynamic Business Development Manager with a passion for identifying new opportunities, driving market growth, and building long-term relationships. The ideal candidate will be energized by the prospect of working in a company that thrives on innovation and tackling complex challenges. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with Allied’s leadership and Outside Sales team to expand our footprint, develop strategic partnerships, and be part of an exceptional team that’s pushing the boundaries of the construction industry.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, strategy, or sales within the steel building or building industries.
  • Experience working on large-scale, innovative projects, ideally within international markets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven success in building client relationships and driving growth in new and emerging markets.
  • Strong commercial awareness, with a deep understanding of business procedures, sales operations, and marketing strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and present complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office, with the ability to quickly learn new tools.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned region
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

Responsibilities
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers in high-potential industries and vertical markets.
  • Identify new business opportunities in emerging markets and deliver creative, high-impact solutions for clients.
  • Lead the development of comprehensive market expansion strategies, including researching prospects, analyzing competitive landscapes, and defining Allied’s unique value propositions.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop innovative campaigns and strategies that highlight Allied’s technological advantages and project success stories.
  • Present Allied’s capabilities and cutting-edge solutions to potential clients through engaging presentations and briefings.
  • Partner with the Outside Sales team to ensure a seamless transition from lead generation to deal closure, maintaining relationships throughout the sales process and beyond.
  • Take ownership of the full business development lifecycle, from lead generation to closing contracts on large-scale, high-impact construction projects.
  • Provide strategic insight into vertical market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs, helping to shape Allied’s market positioning.
  • Regularly report on business development activities, lead generation efforts, and the health of the sales pipeline to leadership.
