About You Are you a technical expert with strong relationships in the industrial construction market? We are looking for a Business Development Representative with a strong knowledge of industrial facilities and equipment. As a Business Development Representative, your primary focus will be on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, cultivating strong client relationships, and promoting the company’s services within the industrial construction industry. You will work closely with the VP of Business Development and other internal teams to achieve ambitious growth targets and strategic goals. This is a hybrid office/remote position that will require travel. The ideal candidate for this position resides in the state of Georgia or the Carolinas. Responsibilities Client Relationship Management Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, industry partners, and government agencies. Act as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts leading up to and throughout the project life cycle, ensuring high client satisfaction and maximizing business opportunities. Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to expand professional network and represent the company. New Business Acquisition Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive lead generation, prospecting, and qualifying potential clients including owners and general contractors. Lead the development of winning proposals, bids, and presentations, collaborating with internal teams to deliver compelling value propositions. Negotiate and close contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company. Conduct facility tours, evaluate the scope of work from a technical perspective, and present relevant information to the team for consideration. CRM Management Utilize the CRM system to manage leads, track client interactions, and ensure accurate records of business development activities. Regularly update the CRM with relevant information and maintain data integrity. Collaboration and Coordination Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, marketing, and legal, to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction. Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop effective sales collateral, marketing materials, and brand positioning strategies. Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth handover of new contracts and projects. Qualifications Strong technical background in industrial facilities & equipment. Strong knowledge of the industrial construction market, including key players, market trends, and competitive landscape. Proven track record of success in project management, facilities management, business development, sales, or related roles within the industrial construction industry. Willingness to travel. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strategic mindset with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in relevant software and CRM systems, Salesforce preferred.
