YOU’LL ALSO NEED:
An understanding of ADF acquisition cycles, sustainment planning, technical regulations and Defence contracting frameworks
The ability to support the translation of broader Defence policy into actionable capture and account strategies
A proven track record of leading/ working within cross-discipline capture teams
Proficiency in structuring/ supporting the structure of multi-variant commercial models, risk-reward scenarios and cost-benefit analyses for Defence programs
Exceptional engagement and negotiation
Proven business development/capture experience within an Australian Defence prime or systems integrator, or adjacent industry with a record of business winning
Preferably, you’ll also have some familiarity with maritime, land or joint training systems, platforms or C4ISR solutions (or similar) gained in organisations such as Defence, or a Defence Prime or in a similar, adjacent industry.
Working with a Senior Business Development Manager, one of the roles will benefit from a person with some experience in advisory/ consultancy services, experience in client account management and high volume tender response.
Due to the nature of these roles, applicants must be eligible for Australian Defence security clearance. Current security clearance is advantageous.

With growth on the agenda, you’ll contribute through the identification, qualification and capture of opportunities across the Australian Defence Force (ADF) capability life cycle, from initial market scanning and lead generation through to sustainment. This will see you:
Prospecting emerging opportunities through proactive market intelligence and early stakeholder engagement to identify and validate potential Defence projects at inception
Maintaining and cultivating stakeholder relationships, including with Defence delivery agencies, capability managers and prime contractors
Conducting competitor and market analysis to identify differentiators and refine our value proposition against key Australian and allied offerings
Developing and executing capture plans for tenders across maritime, land or joint domains, including win-theme development, risk mitigation and value-for-money positioning for a variety of program types/ service offerings
Leading/ supporting bid/no-bid decision processes, preparing comprehensive analyses in accordance with corporate policy and Defence tender protocols
In partnership with Legal and Commercial teams, securing favourable outcomes while maintaining full compliance with export controls and security clearances
