SUMMARY

Cultivate new and maintain existing relationships within the community. Develop business banking strategies to provide products and services to clients. Assist personal and business customers in all areas of their banking needs. Collaborate with the retail, lending, business development, cash management, merchant services and the Trust and Wealth Management teams to ensure understanding of products and services and that products are delivered at a consistently high service level to customers. This position requires employees to work on-site.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree, in a business-related field, is required.
  • 5+ years of sales experience is required.
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, typing, 10-key and utilization of the internet is required.
  • Willingness to demonstrate Core 5 values with customers and coworkers.
  • Willingness to participate in internal/external community outreach events.
  • Ability to travel between branches within and outside of the Market will be required.
    HOURS OF AVAILABILITY: Regularly Scheduled Hours/Week: 40 (+) Hours | Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm | *Extended working hours may be required

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate and maintain communication between Market President, retail and lending teams. Collaborate with different departments to gain exposure and understanding of the various aspects of banking operations.
  • Review business development goals with Market President. Support management decisions and goals in a positive, professional manner and represent the Bank with high level of integrity.
  • Work jointly with various team members to develop strategies for acquiring and retaining customers, enhancing customer experience and increasing customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a visible presence in the local community and be actively involved in various community outreach activities. Engage with chamber of commerce, lenders, and community leaders.
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment when researching personal and business customer prospects. Develop both prospective and new client lists with needs for banking products and services. Develop sales strategy and maintain and expand referral sources.
  • Nurture new and existing customer relationships. Communicate and exchange information with both internal and external customers. Effectively answering questions in-person or on the telephone and refer customers to other bank team members for services such as Mortgage, Investment, Cash Management and Lending as necessary.
  • Be knowledgeable in First Security Bank products, services, compliance, policies, culture and core values. Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations.
  • Understand and adhere to various Federal Regulations, including but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act, Right to Financial Privacy Act, US Patriot and Security.
  • Maintain customer confidence and protect bank operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Operate computer, telephone, keyboard, scanner, and copier. Proficiency with internal bank software will be required. Utilize sites such as www.federalreserve.gov and gain knowledge of Cedars/ICS Software will be required.
  • Must arrive at work on time, work on-site and work cooperatively with other coworkers. Must be able to travel between banking centers, markets, community events and client offices. Willingness to extend working hours when necessary to accommodate the completion of varied tasks on behalf of the customers.
  • Business travel is an integral part of this position. Therefore, a valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle that can be used for business travel purposes are required.
  • Work location and/or additional duties may be assigned or required by management.
    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
