The Business Development Manager for our clients a shipping companies and will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, developing client relationships, and expanding the company's footprint within the maritime industry. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong market knowledge and excellent communication skills to engage key maritime clients and deliver tailored solutions that meet their needs. Key Responsibilities Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the maritime sector to expand the company's client base. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including shipping companies, shipping clients, and maritime service providers. Develop and execute strategic business development plans aligned with company objectives. Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, marketing, and technical departments to create customized proposals and solutions. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay informed on industry trends and client needs. Negotiate contracts and close deals to maximize revenue and profitability. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities. Prepare regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and market insights. Bachelor's degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus. 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the maritime or shipping industry. Proven track record of successfully developing and closing business opportunities. Strong understanding of maritime industry dynamics, regulations, and client challenges. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
