About the role
JOB TITLE: Reporting into the Sales Director, Ottawa, the Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for selling the professional services of Modis in a branch location or national account level. The employee is responsible for developing new accounts through outside sales activity as well as maintaining and developing current branch accounts. As directed by the Managing Director, assists with branch responsibilities to ensure stability and success of the branch office.

About you

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Diploma/Degree in business, economics or has equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 1-5 years of experience, and a proven track record of success, in IT Staffing (Major Asset)
  • Prior Private Sector IT staffing experience in sales/business development/recruiting (Asset)
  • Solution Selling experience would be appreciated
  • Proven track record of sales/recruiting for technology roles or related

SKILLS & OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong English and French Language communication skills both verbal and in writing
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • A strong sales attitude with results -driven approach
  • High sense of urgency and is adept at multi-tasking
  • Ability to build strong relationships externally with candidates and clients as well as internally with consultants and colleagues.
  • Ability to take initiative, prioritize workload and independently complete a variety of administrative duties;
  • Demonstrated ability in building effective work relationships and influencing decision makers;
  • Demonstrate a good level of professionalism, maintain discretion and work collaboratively with team;
  • Ability to work independently, and in a different location than your manager;
  • Flexibility with the ability to adjust and refocus priorities based on changing business needs;
  • Team player attitude and willingness to take direction
  • Good judgement and decision-making ability;
  • Proactive and results driven approach.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
