Responsibilities
  • Develop Agriculture business plan: Consistently updated with new learning. Work with sales team to identify and qualify prospects.
  • Quantify opportunities: Competitors, products, volumes, price etc. while working with local support teams.
  • Define and communicate key success metrics: Pipeline, prospects, net new business, expanded share of wallet, addition of products for agriculture industry.
  • Work with key vendors and internal product managers for the successful promotion and placement of materials.
  • Make joint calls in support of localized sales teams.
  • Be the point person for various national agricultural industry shows, conventions, and events.
  • Financial responsibility: Understanding of working capital and ROI.
  • Supervisory responsibility: Direct management of leadership of Agricultural Application Development Specialist. Collaborative, indirect leadership of Sales Account Managers engaged with agriculture customers and/or prospecting in this industry.
