Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

Claire at Amber Mace is working with a leading provider of supported living and complex care services, specializing in the care of individuals with mental health needs. My client’s mission is to deliver person-centered care that enables people to lead fulfilling lives in the community. They are looking for a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join their team. In this role, you will work closely with the Registered Managers and Directors of the company, helping to grow and strengthen the services across the region.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities within the supported living and mental health sectors. You will leverage your experience in care services and work closely with internal teams, stakeholders, local authorities, and healthcare professionals to drive growth and ensure the successful delivery of complex care services. Your strong understanding of the care industry and ability to develop and maintain key relationships will be pivotal in achieving our objectives.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing PIN – essential for the role.
  • Proven experience in business development, ideally within the supported living or mental health sector.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of working with key stakeholders, local authorities, commissioners, and healthcare professionals.
  • In-depth understanding of complex care services and supported living frameworks.
  • Experience in working closely with Registered Managers and Directors to drive operational growth and service delivery.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and identify new business opportunities.
  • A track record of successful business development and service expansion.
  • Full understanding of relevant regulations, including CQC standards, safeguarding, and compliance.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to expand the company’s portfolio of supported living and mental health services.
  • Work closely with the Registered Managers and Directors to understand operational needs and identify opportunities for service improvement and growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, commissioners, healthcare professionals, and service users.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the mental health and supported living sectors, including bidding for contracts and developing new partnerships.
  • Provide expert guidance on complex care and supported living services, ensuring that all new opportunities align with company objectives and regulatory standards.
  • Lead the preparation of tender documents, proposals, and presentations for new business opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to inform business strategies and decisions.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings with stakeholders to promote services and maintain a strong network.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, including CQC (Care Quality Commission) and local authority requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the seamless delivery of services and to address any operational challenges that arise.
