Description About the Role The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new revenue by identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities for our third-party warehousing and logistics services. This role focuses on developing strategic relationships with shippers, manufacturers, retailers, and other supply chain partners who require customized warehousing, distribution, and value-added logistics solutions. Key Responsibilities Identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities within target markets and industries. Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue and growth objectives. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads through outbound prospecting, referrals, and networking. Conduct discovery calls to understand customer supply chain needs, warehousing requirements, volume profiles, and service expectations. Collaborate with operations, solutions engineering, and finance teams to design and price customized warehousing and distribution solutions. Prepare and present proposals, presentations, and RFP/RFI responses. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements to close new business. Maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers at prospective and existing customers. Track sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts using CRM tools. Stay current on market trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings within the 3PL and warehousing space. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions as needed.
