Description

A global automotive parts manufacturing company is looking for a motivated Business Development Manager in their Novi, MI location.
The ideal candidate would have 2 +years’ of technical sales experience in electrical background (semiconductor experience will be a plus) but candidate who has mechanical or automotive industry background are encouraged to apply!

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering is preferred
  • Minimum 2 year of business development
  • Must be able to travel to customers as needed in North Americas
  • Must have excellent presentation skills
  • Experience with working in a Japanese related environment is a plus
  • Some engineering knowledge or technical support experience is a plus
  • This position will not support visa sponsorships
  • This position includes manufacturing and office work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

  • Establish relations with new and previous customers
  • New business development with OEMs and Tier Suppliers
  • Promote electronics products and company itself
  • Intelligently communicate with clients and suppliers
  • Travel to customer locations and prepare reports and compile data
  • Make presentations to and attend meetings with client managers and engineers.
  • Understand specifications for products for customer design assistance
  • Responsible for price/contract negotiations
  • Create data, budgets, and reports regarding sales and marketing activity.
