JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree desirable
  • Minimum 3-5 years successful sales and business development experience in related Industry
  • Proven ability to speak both public and private in a professional, confident, and knowledgeable way
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to create technically and/or logistically complex proposals
  • Experience in networking targeted customers at industry events
  • Experience working within a team environment to over-deliver on desired results
  • Experience with contract negotiations and the ability to successfully navigate complex organisations
  • Experience with the use of customer relationship database
  • A very strong focus on achieving financial targets
  • Strong written and oral communication skills needed to draft sales presentations, and effectively solicit business via phone and face to face customer contact
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
  • In depth understanding of the modern workspace, AV and UC collaboration industry
  • Previous experience selling related technical solutions and services into Corporate, Enterprise and Government both direct and through Partners
Responsibilities

The purpose of this position is to take a leading role in reaching and exceeding, where possible targeted sales revenue and gross margin goals set within the annual budget. In doing so, the BDM is responsible for implementing short and longer-term sales/rev strategies and developing ongoing profitable relationships with Corporate and Enterprise customers, both domestically and internationally. Additionally, they will recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and future sales potential.
The BDM will be familiar with modern workspace collaboration concepts, practices, and procedures. They will rely on extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish the goals. As part of an integrated team, they will work cooperatively with others in order to grow existing accounts and new business sales while displaying a natural wide degree of creativity and enthusiasm for the role, with the team and AVEX domestic and international business. Critically, they will understand what motivates customers to buy solutions and services and know how to fulfil those needs and desires in an effective way.
