SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving retail-banking revenue growth for the company through outreach tactics and networking efforts aligned with Avivatech’s software sales strategy. The BDM will work closely with product management, technology and deployment teams to deliver value-added solutions that meet the customers’ needs and expectations. The BDM will also build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, partners, and industry influencers.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales, sales management, or sales operations, preferably in a Retail, B2B environment.
  • Sales experience with a nationwide or regional cash-in-transit (CIT) provider focused on selling cash automation and vault solutions into retail and financial.
  • A strong understanding of cash handling operations in retail and banking with practiced experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and their integrations with physical cash flow.
  • Recent experience selling or supporting the selling of cash automation solutions in the retail and/or banking markets.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful sales results, exceeding sales quota and targets, and growing revenue and market share.
  • Strong knowledge of sales methodologies, strategies, and processes, including CRM, pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically, analytically, and creatively.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to envision the long-term goals and direction of the sales portfolio, align the sales strategy with the company’s mission and values, and inspire and motivate the sales team to deliver value-added solutions that meet the customers’ needs and expectations.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly with various stakeholders, such as executives, customers, partners, and sales team, and foster a culture of collaboration and feedback across the organization.
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and resolve conflicts, and build trust and rapport with diverse groups of people.
  • Anticipate and mitigate the risks and issues that may arise during the sales cycle, and implement solutions that are timely, feasible, and scalable.
  • A desire to foster a culture of customer-centric innovation within the sales organization.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:

  • Work effectively from a remote home office environment.
  • Travel to the assigned office location (Alpharetta, Ga) at least once per month for 3-4 days per visit.
  • Travel to trade shows, on-site customer meetings and other destinations, as warranted or assigned.
  • Available for occasional after-hours consultation with clients and/or management.

Responsibilities
  • Call directly on large nationwide retailers within an assigned target account base for the sale of cash and check automation solutions.
  • Call directly on large bank treasury management departments within an assigned target account base for the sale of cash and check automation solutions.
  • Generate a sales pipeline of $5M within the first 12 months.
  • Generate $1M in new sales revenues within the first 24 months.
  • Introduce new strategic partnership opportunities with other industry technology providers (hardware, software, services).
  • Spend a minimum of 30% of your time prospecting and cold calling on new clients.
  • Collaborate with the marketing, product, and deployment teams to create and execute effective go-to-market strategies, product launches, and customer retention programs.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company’s products, value proposition, and competitive advantages.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key partners, customers and industry influencers.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences, and promote the company’s brand and reputation.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that may impact our strategy or its success.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, best practices, and technologies in the sales field.
