QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6–8 years of proven experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally in printing, promotional products, or apparel manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of sales cycles, prospecting techniques, and account management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Comfortable using CRM tools, prospecting platforms, and remote communication tools.
  • Self-motivated, goal-driven, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability for local and out-of-state travel to meet clients and attend events.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • Sales certifications such as HubSpot Sales, Sandler, or similar are a plus.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to join our fast-growing custom printing company in Hamilton, Ontario. This is a hands-on, client-focused role ideal for a relationship-driven sales professional who excels at closing deals and building long-term client value. You will play a key role in driving business growth by engaging with clients, identifying opportunities, and providing tailored solutions from our wide range of printing and decoration services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and acquire new clients in the promotional marketing, corporate merchandise, and apparel sectors.
  • Generate leads through outbound prospecting, networking, and industry events.
  • Schedule meetings for senior management with potential clients to facilitate deal closures.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients to increase repeat business.
  • Understand client needs and propose customized solutions from our product and service offerings.
  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline using CRM tools and consistent follow-up.
  • Attend trade shows, expos, and industry networking events to promote services.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and new product opportunities.
