  • Proven Business Development Experience: A strong track record (5+ years) of successful new business acquisition, ideally within the property maintenance, facilities management, or related service industries.
  • Industry Knowledge: Ideally, direct experience in the trades or maintenance sector, giving you a deep understanding of client needs and operational considerations. This could include a background as a tradesperson, or significant experience selling maintenance services.
  • Exceptional Sales Acumen: Expert negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Networking Proclivity: A natural ability to build rapport and establish strong professional networks.
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to identify market opportunities and develop effective strategies to capitalize on them.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Self-Motivated & Proactive: A highly organised individual with the drive to work independently and manage your own pipeline.
  • Location: Based in or easily commutable to Chessington, London
Responsibilities

As our new Business Development Manager, you will be a key driver of our growth, responsible for identifying and securing new clients, nurturing existing relationships, and expanding our market presence. This is a highly autonomous role where your entrepreneurial spirit will thrive.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Growth: Developing and executing comprehensive business development strategies to achieve ambitious sales targets.
  • Lead Generation: Proactively identifying and researching new business opportunities within our target markets
  • Client Acquisition: Leading the full sales cycle from initial contact and pitch through to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Market Intelligence: Staying abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to identify new service offerings or niche opportunities.
  • Proposal Development: Crafting compelling proposals and presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with our operations and delivery teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery.
  • Reporting: Providing regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and market insights.
